I stopped here by chance for a very late lunch. Glad I did. I had the Inaiwa Udon with Seafood (Shrimp, Oyster) Set * hot which was very nice and good value for money. Nicely presented and freshly prepared. Complimentary tea is also provided. Clean. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Located in Causeway Bay but away from all the noise, so it was nice to relax and enjoy my lunch. Would recommend.

We went to this restaurant in causeway bay, that has a nice vibe and also cozy environment! It is located in Causeway bay near the pier, so its quite a decent location and easily accessed! We had a few dishes when we went there. We started with the dried fish, which is crispy, and have a balanced flavor! really a good appetiser to start the night! We then have the grilled pork belly with yuzu skewer, and also had the chicken version of the yuzu skewer. The yuzu sauce is very refeeshing, and both the pork and chicken are tender and gives a good umami flavor! We then have the minced chicken skewer with egg yolk sauce, which is one of the dishes of the night and again deliver a very good umami flavor! very special dish! We also had the grilled squid, which is surprisingly very tender yet give a good dlavor and texture along with its soury sweet sauce! a really fresh grilled squid! We also had the enoki beef roll, which isa good balance of the mushroom along with the beefy flavor from the beef! We also had the chicken and leek which are both great combination to be eaten together, give you another element of flavor of the skewer! We also had tamagoyaki to end the night, which is very soft and its flavor is not overpowering!

Update! We returned a year later and had dinner. Lovely experience- cold beer and bar snacks in quiet setting. Upped rating from 4 to 5 stars. New izakaya in front of Sen Ryo (Fashion Walk). Has a more homey-independent feel compared to corporate chain Sen Ryo. Lunch sets reasonably priced, but the size of the sushi bowl was underwhelming. The quality of the food was good though. We plan to return to try other dishes.

The kids had a bowl of udon, while me and my mom were having skewers and beer. Nicely located. Quiet and easy to talk. It has outdoor seating for smokers and pet lovers. The grilled pork belly with lychee is a must try.
